Background Founded in 1995 by Dr. Richard B. Morrison of Northeastern University, Morrison Market Strategies helps companies learn more about their employees, customers and potential customers. The resulting information helps managers improve strategic decisions and corporate performance. Dick Morrison has extensive experience with clients in the private, public and non-profit sectors. He has directed research on customer satisfaction, media habits, consumer behavior and advertising recall at major sports venues including the Boston Garden, the FleetCenter, Fenway Park, Foxboro Stadium and the Worcester Centrum. Much of his current research uses annual workplace climate surveys to identify potential trouble spots and to improve employee retention. This leads to increased customer satisfaction and retention, both vital to successful businesses. His public sector research includes the recreation demand analysis for the Massachusetts Statewide Comprehensive Recreation Plan for 1987-1992 as well as several similar analyses for cities & towns in Massachusetts. Professor Emeritus at Northeastern University, he has taught graduate level courses in research methods, applied statistics, sports marketing and strategic planning. A graduate of Colby College with master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Maine and Boston University respectively, he has been a visiting professor at Brandeis, the University of South Carolina, the University of New Hampshire and a Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Graduate School of Business. He currently serves on the Board of Governors and is President of the Harvard Business School Association of Boston. |
